360 Big Data Engineer(s) - Java

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to serve as a Big Data Engineer. This person will be responsible for delivering on the implementation of large scale and complex projects using Big Data technologies and will also need to share Big Data expertise and best practices with the other team members.

 Qualifications / Requirements

  •  BS/BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related studies (Masters desired)
  •  Direct professional hands on experience developing Big Data applications using Spark, Scala and Java
  •  At least two years of experience with Hadoop, HDFS, and MapReduce or Hive
  •  At least one year of experience with Scala and Spark, Avro, and Parquet
  •  Experience with other Hadoop related technologies such as HBase, Sqoop, Oozie and Kafka
  •  Linked Data, Docker, Datameer/Platfora and Cask CDAP experience a bonus
  •  Ability to work effectively in a team environment to deliver results with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities and exhibit technical leadership
  •  Demonstrated ability to mentor/train other developers on Big Data technologies
  •  Proven track record of being able to solve complex problems independently and to seek out and generate innovative solutions
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  •  Experience on project using an Agile software development methodology a plus
